TC 21 Antibody (F-8) is a mouse monoclonal IgG3 kappa light chain antibody that detects TC 21 of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). TC 21 (F-8) antibody is available as the non-conjugated form. TC 21, also known as R-Ras-2, plays a crucial role in cellular signaling pathways, particularly in regulating cell adhesion and migration, which are vital processes in development and wound healing. Unlike closely related counterparts in the Ras family, wild type TC 21 does not exhibit transforming potential in vitro; however, mutations analogous to those found in oncogenic Ras proteins can endow TC 21 with potent transforming activities. These mutations lead to a constitutively active form of TC 21, which can disrupt normal cellular functions and contribute to tumorigenesis. Understanding TC 21 function and interactions with other proteins is essential for elucidating TC 21 role in cancer biology and developing targeted therapies.
