TBL1XR1 Antibody (L-08) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects TBL1XR1 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-TBL1XR1 antibody (L-08) is available as the non-conjugated format. TBL1XR1, also known as transducin (beta)-like 1 X-linked receptor 1, C21, DC42, IRA1, or TBLR1 (TBL1-related protein 1), plays a significant role in cellular processes as a transcriptional regulator. TBL1XR1 belongs to the WD repeat EBI family and contains eight WD repeats, one LisH domain, and one F-box-like domain, which enable interaction with various proteins. TBL1XR1 functions primarily in the cytoplasm and nucleus, participating in the co-repressor machinery of the nuclear receptor corepressor (NCoR) and silencing mediator for retinoid and thyroid hormone receptors (SMRT) complex. This localization enables regulation of gene expression by facilitating proteasome machinery recruitment for co-repressor degradation upon ligand binding. TBL1XR1′s significance extends to β-catenin-mediated transcription, where knockdown studies have demonstrated inhibition of transcriptional activity and suppressed growth of head and neck squamous cell carcinoma cells, suggesting potential as a therapeutic target in cancer treatment.
