SEE ALSO...

TBCB Antibody (B-12) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects TBCB protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-TBCB antibody (B-12) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. TBCB protein, also known as tubulin folding cofactor B, plays a crucial role in the assembly and regulation of microtubules, which are essential components of the cytoskeleton. Microtubules are dynamic structures that provide structural support and facilitate intracellular transport, cell division, and motility. TBCB is involved in the proper folding of tubulin heterodimers, which are the building blocks of microtubules, and acts as a negative regulator of axonal growth, highlighting its importance in neuronal development and function. TBCB consists of 244 amino acids and contains a CAP-Gly domain, indicating potential interactions with other cytoskeletal proteins. TBCB is widely expressed in various tissues, underscoring its fundamental role in cellular architecture and dynamics.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-377139 P appropriate for?

Asked by: jenniferc
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
