    SEE ALSO...

TBC1D7 Antibody (C-9) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects TBC1D7 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). TBC1D7 (C-9) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. TBC1D7, also known as PIG51 or cell migration-inducing protein 23, is a 293 amino acid protein that plays a crucial role in cellular processes by localizing to the cytoplasmic vesicles of the endomembrane system, where TBC1D7 interacts with the hamartin-tuberin complex. This localization positions TBC1D7 to regulate the GTPase activity of Rab proteins, which are essential for vesicle trafficking and cellular signaling. TBC1D7 negatively regulates hamartin through the activation of the mechanistic target of rapamycin (mTOR) pathway, highlighting TBC1D7′s importance in cellular growth and metabolism. TBC1D7 exists in two alternatively spliced isoforms and is predominantly expressed in the heart, with lower levels found in the placenta, kidney, and liver. TBC1D7 contains a Rab-GAP TBC domain and is encoded by a gene located on human chromosome 6, which is notable for its association with various diseases, including early onset intestinal cancer and other genetic disorders. Research on TBC1D7 and its interactions is vital for understanding TBC1D7′s role in cellular dynamics and potential implications in cancer susceptibility and other health conditions.
