TBC1D5 Antibody (E-9) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects TBC1D5 of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-TBC1D5 antibody (E-9) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. TBC1D5, also known as KIAA0210, is a 795 amino acid protein that functions as a GTPase-activating protein for Rab family members, playing a crucial role in regulating intracellular vesicle trafficking. By accelerating the intrinsic rate of GTP hydrolysis, TBC1D5 downregulates the active form of Rab proteins, which is essential for maintaining cellular homeostasis and proper signaling pathways. The gene encoding TBC1D5 is located on human chromosome 3, a region associated with various genetic diseases and key tumor suppressor genes, including those involved in apoptosis and cell migration. Understanding TBC1D5 function is vital, as dysregulation of Rab proteins can lead to numerous pathologies, including cancer and neurodegenerative diseases.
