SEE ALSO...

TBC1D24 Antibody (G-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects TBC1D24 of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). TBC1D24 (G-6) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. TBC1D24, which consists of 559 amino acids, is primarily located in the cytoplasm and plays a crucial role as a GTPase-activating protein for Rab family proteins, specifically modulating their activity. This function is vital for regulating intracellular trafficking and maintaining cellular homeostasis, particularly in neuronal cells where TBC1D24 is highly expressed. TBC1D24 is also found in other tissues such as the testis, skeletal muscle, heart, kidney, lung, and liver. Notably, defects in TBC1D24 are linked to familial infantile myoclonic epilepsy (FIME), a severe form of epilepsy that manifests in early infancy with symptoms including myoclonic seizures and tonic-clonic seizures. TBC1D24 spans 28,353 bases and is located on human chromosome 16p13.3, highlighting its significance in both neurological function and disease.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-390237 P appropriate for?

Asked by: Professor Griffin
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
