SEE ALSO...

TASK-2 Antibody (F-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects TASK-2 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). TASK-2 (F-7) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. TASK-2 protein is a member of the tandem pore potassium channel family, which plays a crucial role in maintaining the resting membrane potential and regulating neuronal excitability. TASK-2 is predominantly expressed in the kidney, where TASK-2 is localized in the cortical distal tubules and collecting ducts, indicating significant involvement in renal potassium transport and homeostasis. This localization helps regulate electrolyte balance and blood pressure, making TASK-2 an important target for understanding renal function and potential therapeutic interventions in conditions such as hypertension and electrolyte disorders. TASK-2 channels are known for sensitivity to changes in extracellular pH, which further underscores physiological relevance in various cellular processes.
