TAL2 Antibody (1G6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects TAL2 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-TAL2 antibody (1G6) is available as a non-conjugated monoclonal isotype antibody. TAL2 plays a crucial role in T-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (T-ALL), particularly through involvement in chromosomal translocations with T-cell receptor beta chain genes, which can lead to oncogenic activation. TAL2 is part of the basic helix-loop-helix (bHLH) family, which is essential for regulating gene expression during hematopoiesis. TAL2 contains a helix-loop-helix domain that facilitates dimerization and DNA binding, allowing interaction with other bHLH proteins such as E2A proteins (E47 and E12) to form heterodimers that bind to specific DNA sequences. TAL2 presence in both phosphorylated and unphosphorylated forms in leukemic cells highlights complex regulation and potential as a therapeutic target. Understanding TAL2 function is vital, as aberrations can contribute to T-ALL pathogenesis, making TAL2 (1G6) monoclonal antibody an important tool for research in cancer biology and therapeutic development.
