TAL1 Antibody (E-4) is a mouse monoclonal IgM antibody that detects TAL1 in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). TAL1, also known as SCL, is a crucial transcription factor that plays a significant role in embryonic hematopoiesis, regulating the development of blood cells. TAL1 forms heterodimers with other proteins, such as E2A and HEB/HTF4, to bind to specific DNA sequences known as E-boxes, which are essential for the transcriptional regulation of genes involved in hematopoietic differentiation. TAL1′s importance in hematopoiesis is underscored by involvement in T cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia, where TAL1 activation is observed in up to 60% of cases, highlighting a key role in leukemogenesis. Additionally, TAL1 interaction with casein kinase IIalpha, a serine/threonine protein kinase, can significantly enhance activity, thereby accelerating the leukemogenic process. Anti-TAL1 antibody (E-4) serves as an invaluable tool for researchers studying the mechanisms of hematopoiesis and the pathogenesis of related disorders.
