TAL1 Antibody (B-8) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a light chain antibody that detects TAL1 in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). TAL1, also known as SCL, is a crucial serine phosphoprotein and basic helix-loop-helix transcription factor that plays a significant role in regulating embryonic hematopoiesis, which is essential for the development of blood cells. TAL1 dysregulation is implicated in up to 60% of human T cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia cases, marking TAL1 as the most common gain-of-function mutation in this disease. TAL1 operates by forming heterodimers with other transcription factors such as E2A and HEB/HTF4, binding to specific E-box motifs in DNA to initiate transcription. Furthermore, TAL1 interaction with the catalytic subunit of casein kinase IIalpha, a serine/threonine protein kinase, significantly enhances leukemogenesis, underscoring TAL1′s regulatory mechanisms in both normal hematopoiesis and cancer development. Anti-TAL1 antibody (B-8) serves as an invaluable tool for researchers investigating this transcription factor in various biological processes and disease states.
