    SEE ALSO...

TAG-72 Antibody (6A190) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects tumor-associated glycoprotein 72 (TAG-72) with broad species reactivity through various applications including western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and flow cytometry (FCM). TAG-72 is a high molecular weight glycoprotein predominantly localized to the cytoplasm and cell membrane of malignant cells, playing a crucial role in tumor biology as a marker for cancer diagnosis and prognosis. TAG-72 expression is notably high in 80% of colorectal carcinomas, while being rarely found in normal epithelial tissues and benign conditions, making TAG-72 a valuable target for cancer immunotherapy and diagnostics. Additionally, TAG-72 is significantly expressed in low-grade mucoepidermoid carcinomas and various gynecologic malignancies, including common epithelial ovarian and endometrial carcinomas, while TAG-72 expression in human prostatic adenocarcinomas has been shown to negatively correlate with the Gleason grade of differentiation. TAG-72′s ability to serve as a reliable biomarker across multiple cancer types underscores TAG-72′s importance in clinical settings, particularly for the purification of primary ovarian cancer cells from patient ascites, thereby facilitating further research and therapeutic development. Anti-TAG-72 antibody (6A190) is an essential tool for researchers and clinicians aiming to explore the complexities of cancer biology and improve patient outcomes.
