TAF I p110 Antibody (C-10) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects TAF I p110 of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). TAF I p110 Antibody (C-10) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. TAF I p110 plays a crucial role in gene transcription regulation, particularly in assembling initiation complexes at the promoter for RNA polymerase I, where TAF I p110 is a key component of human transcription factor SL1 (also known as mouse TIF-IB). TAF I p110 is essential for proper SL1 functioning, which contains TATA-binding protein (TBP) and TBP-associated factors (TAFs). TAF I p110 interaction with other TAF subunits, such as hTAF I p63 and hTAF I p48, is vital for forming specific transcription complexes necessary for accurate gene expression. TAF I p110 binding mutually exclusively with either TAF I or TAF II subunits to TBP influences transcriptional machinery specificity, impacting overall gene expression regulation in response to cellular signals.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from an excellent antibody for WBThis antibody recognizes a band of good signal at the predicted M.W on the WB (1:500 dilution, 40 ug HeLa lysate). However, it does not appear to stain the nuclei in formaldehyde-fixed HeLa cells
