Datasheets
  • T2R104 Antibody (H-5) is a mouse monoclonal IgM κ, cited in 1 publications, provided at 200 µg/ml
  • specific for an epitope mapping between amino acids 73-89 within an extracellular domain of T2R104 of rat origin
  • recommended for detection of T2R104 of mouse and rat origin by WB, IP, IF and ELISA
  • m-IgGκ BP-HRP is the preferred secondary detection reagent for T2R104 Antibody (H-5) for WB applications. This reagent is now offered in a bundle with T2R104 Antibody (H-5) (see ordering information below). For additional m-IgGκ BP conjugates see our complete list of Mouse IgG Binding Proteins.

T2R104 Antibody (H-5) is a mouse monoclonal IgM antibody that detects T2R104 of mouse and rat origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-T2R104 antibody (H-5) is available as the non-conjugated form. T2R104, also known as taste receptor, type 2, member 104, is a 302 amino acid protein that belongs to the G-protein coupled receptor T2R family, which plays a crucial role in the perception of bitter compounds. T2R104 is primarily localized to the cell membrane, where T2R104 is strategically positioned to detect bitter tastants in the oral cavity and gastrointestinal tract, thereby contributing to the organism′s ability to identify potentially harmful substances in food. The gene encoding T2R104 is located on mouse chromosome 6 F3, and T2R104 expression in single taste receptor cells allows for the recognition of multiple tastants, enhancing the sensory capabilities of the organism. Anti-T2R104 antibody (H-5) enables researchers to explore the intricate mechanisms of taste perception and the physiological implications of bitter taste recognition in different species.

How much sample do you recommend loading on the gel for Western blot detection using T2R104 (H-5): sc-515693?

Asked by: AbPolly
We recommend loading 40–60 µg whole cell lysate, 10–20 µg nuclear extract, 5-10 µg transfected lysate, or 10–20 ng purified protein per lane. A link to our complete Western blotting protocol is provided here for your reference: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/western-immuno-blotting
