T-bet Antibody (D-5) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b antibody that detects T-bet in human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). T-bet, a T box transcription factor, plays a crucial role in the differentiation of T helper cells, specifically promoting the Th1 subset while inhibiting Th2 development. This regulation is vital for the immune response, as Th1 cells are essential for combating intracellular pathogens and driving cell-mediated immunity. T-bet (D-5) antibody recognizes T-bet that is selectively expressed in Th1 cells, and T-bet expression is upregulated by signals from the T cell receptor and interleukin-12, which are critical for the activation and function of these immune cells.
