    SEE ALSO...

Syntaxin 2 Antibody (A-12) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Syntaxin 2 of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-Syntaxin 2 antibody (A-12) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Syntaxin 2 plays a crucial role in vesicular transport, which is vital for proper functioning and survival of eukaryotic cells. Syntaxin 2 belongs to the SNARE (soluble N-ethylmaleimide-sensitive factor attachment protein receptor) family, specifically functioning as a target SNARE (t-SNARE) that localizes to the apical plasma membrane and intracellular vesicular structures. Syntaxin 2 interaction with vesicle-associated SNAREs (v-SNAREs) is essential for forming stable SNARE complexes, which facilitate vesicle fusion with target membranes. This process is particularly important in regulated secretion, such as surfactant release in lung epithelial cells, where Syntaxin 2 works with SNAP-23. Proper localization and function of Syntaxin 2 are critical for maintaining cellular homeostasis and ensuring effective cell-to-cell communication, making Syntaxin 2 a significant target for cellular biology research.
