Syntaxin 17 Antibody (A-11) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Syntaxin 17 of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-Syntaxin 17 antibody (A-11) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Syntaxin 17, also referred to as STX17, is a 302 amino acid single-pass type IV membrane protein that plays a crucial role in vesicle trafficking to lysosomes, which is essential for cellular homeostasis and degradation of cellular waste. Syntaxin 17 is primarily localized to the endoplasmic reticulum, where Syntaxin 17 facilitates fusion of vesicles with lysosomes, thereby influencing processes such as autophagy and cell division. The gene encoding Syntaxin 17 is located on human chromosome 9, a region associated with various genetic disorders, including hereditary hemorrhagic telangiectasia and familial dysautonomia. Syntaxin 17′s presence in these critical cellular processes underscores Syntaxin 17′s importance in maintaining cellular function and integrity, making Syntaxin 17 a valuable target for research in cell biology and disease mechanisms.
