Datasheets
  • Syntaxin 1 Antibody (SP5) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 (lambda light chain) provided at 200 µg/ml
  • raised against a crude fraction of human schizophrenic brain homogenate immuoprecipitated using a SYP antibody
  • recommended for detection of Syntaxin 1 of mouse, rat and human origin by WB, IP and IF; also reactive with additional species, including and porcine and hamster
  • See Syntaxin 1 (HPC-1): sc-12736 for Syntaxin 1 antibody conjugates, including AC, HRP, FITC, PE, Alexa Fluor® 488, 594, 647, 680 and 790.
  • m-IgGλ BP-HRP (mouse IgGλ binding protein-HRP) is the preferred secondary detection reagent for Syntaxin 1 Antibody (SP5) for WB applications. This reagent is now offered in a bundle with Syntaxin 1 Antibody (SP5) (see ordering information below). For additional m-IgGλ BP conjugates see our complete list of Mouse IgG Binding Proteins.

    SEE ALSO...

Syntaxin 1 Antibody (SP5) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects Syntaxin 1 in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and immunofluorescence (IF). Syntaxin 1 plays a crucial role in vesicular transport, which is vital for proper functioning of eukaryotic cells. Syntaxin 1 is primarily located on the plasma membrane and is essential for fusion of synaptic vesicles with the membrane, facilitating neurotransmitter release in neurons. Syntaxin 1′s presence at the synapse is critical for effective communication between nerve cells. Additionally, Syntaxin 1 interacts with other proteins, including VAMP and SNAP-25, to form the SNARE complex, which is necessary for fusion of vesicles with target membranes. This interaction is fundamental for neurotransmission and other cellular processes, highlighting Syntaxin 1′s significance in maintaining cellular homeostasis and signaling. Anti-Syntaxin 1 antibody (SP5) is an invaluable tool for researchers studying synaptic function and vesicular transport mechanisms.

I am using the LiCor/Odyssey system. Which secondary antibody do you recommend using with Syntaxin 1 (SP5): sc-65509 monoclonal antibody?

    Asked by: DefinitelyNotMatt
We recommend using one of our our exclusive Mouse IgG Binding Proteins (m-IgGλ) conjugated to CFL 680 or CFL 790. They are suitable for use with Near-Infrared (NIR) detection systems, such as LI-COR/Odyssey and other comparable systems. A complete list of available binding proteins is available on our website here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/browse/support-products-mouse-igg-binding-proteins/_/N-ecrety
