SYNDIG1 Antibody (C-1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects SYNDIG1 of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-SYNDIG1 antibody (C-1) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. The synapse differentiation-inducing gene protein 1 (SYNDIG1), also known as DSPC2, IFITMD5, TMEM90B, or C20orf39, is a 258 amino acid single-pass type II membrane protein that belongs to the CD225/Dispanin family. SYNDIG1 plays a crucial role in regulating the content of AMPA receptors at newly formed synapses, which is essential for postsynaptic development and maturation, thereby influencing synaptic plasticity and cognitive functions. As a homodimer, SYNDIG1 interacts with glutamate receptor subunits GRIA1 and GRIA2, highlighting SYNDIG1′s importance in neurotransmission and synaptic signaling. The gene encoding SYNDIG1 is located on human chromosome 20, which comprises approximately 2% of the human genome and contains over 600 genes associated with various neurological and developmental disorders. Understanding SYNDIG1′s function and interactions is vital for elucidating SYNDIG1′s role in synaptic health and potential implications in neurodegenerative diseases.
