Datasheets
  • Synaptotagmin II Antibody (26) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 κ, cited in 2 publications, provided at 200 µg/ml
  • raised against amino acids 413-422 of Synaptotagmin II of rat origin
  • recommended for detection of Synaptotagmin II of mouse, rat and human origin by WB and IP
  • m-IgGκ BP-HRP is the preferred secondary detection reagent for Synaptotagmin II Antibody (26) for WB applications. This reagent is now offered in a bundle with Synaptotagmin II Antibody (26) (see ordering information below). For additional m-IgGκ BP conjugates see our complete list of Mouse IgG Binding Proteins.

SEE ALSO...

Synaptotagmin II Antibody (26) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Synaptotagmin II in mouse, rat, and human samples through western blotting (WB) and immunoprecipitation (IP). Anti-Synaptotagmin II antibody (26) is available in a non-conjugated form, allowing for versatile applications in research. Synaptotagmin II is a crucial member of the synaptotagmin family, which consists of integral membrane proteins that play a vital role in the regulation of neurotransmitter release and synaptic transmission. Synaptotagmin II is primarily located in the synaptic vesicles of neurons, where Synaptotagmin II acts as a calcium sensor, facilitating the rapid release of neurotransmitters in response to calcium influx during synaptic activity. The precise localization of Synaptotagmin II within the synaptic vesicles is essential for its function, as Synaptotagmin II ensures that neurotransmitter release occurs at the right time and place, thereby maintaining effective communication between neurons. Dysregulation of Synaptotagmin II has been implicated in various neurological disorders, highlighting Synaptotagmin II′s importance in both normal physiology and disease states. Through interactions with other proteins involved in synaptic transmission, Synaptotagmin II serves as a key player in the complex signaling pathways that govern neuronal communication.

I need to ask about synaptotagmin I/II concentration for IHC. And this should be prepared in BSA or PBS? Need an immediate reply.

Asked by: Saima
Thank you for your question. We recommend a starting dilution of 1:50 and prepared in PBS. https://www.scbt.com/resources/protocols/immunoperoxidase-staining

I am using Synaptotagmin II (26): sc-136089 antibody for immunoprecipitation, how much antibody should I use?

Asked by: jerojero
Thank you for your question. We recommend using 1–10 µl (i.e., 0.2–2 µg) of antibody with 1 ml of cell lysate. However, optimal antibody concentration should be determined by titration. Please find our full immunoprecipitation protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/immunoprecipitation-western-blots
