SEE ALSO...

Synaptotagmin I Antibody (15) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Synaptotagmin I protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB) and immunoprecipitation (IP). Anti-Synaptotagmin I antibody (15) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose and horseradish peroxidase (HRP). Synaptotagmin I is a crucial member of the synaptotagmin family, which consists of integral membrane proteins that play a vital role in regulating exocytosis and endocytosis, particularly in neurotransmitter release from synaptic vesicles. Synaptotagmin I (15) monoclonal antibody localizes to presynaptic terminals of neurons, where Synaptotagmin I acts as a calcium sensor triggering neurotransmitter release upon calcium influx. This function is essential for synaptic transmission and communication between neurons, making Synaptotagmin I a key player in nervous system functionality. Synaptotagmin I also interacts with various proteins, including SNARE proteins, which are critical for synaptic vesicle fusion with presynaptic membrane. Understanding Synaptotagmin I interactions and mechanisms is important for elucidating processes underlying synaptic plasticity and neurotransmission, as well as their implications in neurological disorders.

Are there any issues with using sc-136480: Synaptotagmin I (15) mouse monoclonal primary antibody on mouse samples?

Asked by: Professor Griffin
Thank you for your inquiry. The use of mouse monoclonal antibodies with mouse samples is very common and typically poses no problem. To eliminate any potential cross-reactivity of an anti-mouse secondary detection reagent,we recommend using a directly conjugated primary antibody. Please contact our special orders department for pricing and availability of sc-136480 conjugates.
