SULT2B1 Antibody (C-3) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects SULT2B1 in human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). SULT2B1 is a critical enzyme in the sulfotransferase superfamily, which plays a vital role in the metabolism of various steroids and xenobiotics. SULT2B1 exists in two isoforms, SULT2B1a and SULT2B1b, generated through alternative splicing, and is particularly important for the sulfation of 3β-hydroxysteroids, including pregnenolone, dehydroepiandrosterone (DHEA), and androstenediol. SULT2B1b expression is notably found in tissues such as the prostate, skin, placenta, and lung, highlighting SULT2B1′s significance in both endocrine and reproductive functions.
