SULT2A1/2/5 Antibody (B-2) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects SULT2A1/2/5 of mouse origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). SULT2A1/2/5 (B-2) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. SULT2A1, a member of the sulfotransferase superfamily, plays a crucial role in the sulfonation of various substrates, including procarcinogenic xenobiotics, hydroxysteroids, and bile acids, which is vital for detoxification and metabolic regulation. SULT2A1 is predominantly expressed in the adrenal glands and liver, where SULT2A1 contributes to the regulation of cholesterol homeostasis and the metabolism of steroid hormones. Additionally, SULT2A2 and SULT2A5, which share significant homology with human SULT2A1, further underscore the evolutionary conservation and functional importance of this enzyme in murine systems.
