SEE ALSO...

SULT1E1 Antibody (E-12) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects SULT1E1 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-SULT1E1 antibody (E-12) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. SULT1E1, also known as STE, is a 294 amino acid member of the sulfotransferase family, primarily localized in the cytoplasm and expressed in the intestine, liver, and kidney. SULT1E1 plays a crucial role in regulating estrogen receptor levels by catalyzing the sulfate conjugation of free estradiol, thus influencing hormonal balance and potentially impacting processes such as cell proliferation and differentiation. SULT1E1′s homodimeric structure is essential for enzymatic activity, and defects in SULT1E1 have been linked to an increased risk of endometrial cancer, highlighting SULT1E1′s significance in tumorigenesis and importance in various biological contexts.
