Stat2 Antibody (B-3) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Stat2 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Stat2 (B-3) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Stat2 protein plays a crucial role in signaling pathways activated by interferons, particularly in immune responses and antiviral defense. Upon activation by ligands such as interferons, Stat2 forms a heterodimer with Stat1, which is essential for forming ISGF3 transcription factor complex that regulates expression of genes involved in immune response and cell growth. ISGF3 complex is vital for mediating effects of interferons, which are key players in body′s defense against viral infections. Stat2′s ability to interact with other signaling proteins, such as Janus kinases (JAKs), underscores Stat2′s importance in transduction of extracellular signals into cellular responses, making Stat2 a significant target for research in immunology and cancer biology.
