StARD13 Antibody (H-10) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects StARD13 of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). StARD13 (H-10) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. StARD13, also known as deleted in liver cancer protein 2 (DLC2) or GT650, is a member of the steroidogenic acute regulatory protein-related lipid transfer (START) domain family, which consists of fifteen proteins that play crucial roles in lipid metabolism and transport. StARD13 functions as a RhoGAP protein that interacts with Rho A and Cdc42, and contains a RhoGAP domain, a sterile alpha motif (SAM) domain, and a START domain. StARD13 localizes to the mitochondrion and cytoplasmic speckles, where StARD13 associates closely with lipid droplets, indicating a potential role in mitochondrial lipid transport. This localization suggests involvement in regulating lipid homeostasis within cells. StARD13 shows ubiquitous expression but is frequently deleted in hepatocellular and breast cancer cells, highlighting a function as a tumor suppressor.
