    SEE ALSO...

SSH1 Antibody (1A5C8) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects SSH1 protein of human origin by immunofluorescence (IF) and flow cytometry (FCM). Anti-SSH1 antibody (1A5C8) is available as the non-conjugated format. SSH1, also known as slingshot homolog 1, KIAA1298, or SSH1L, is a 1,049 amino acid protein that plays a crucial role in regulating actin dynamics within the cell. SSH1 (1A5C8) antibody targets a protein localized in both the cytoplasm and cytoskeleton, where SSH1 acts as a protein phosphatase, specifically dephosphorylating target proteins such as Cofilin, which is essential for the assembly and disassembly of actin filaments. This regulation is vital for various cellular processes, including cell motility, shape, and division, making SSH1 a key player in maintaining cellular architecture and function. The gene encoding SSH1 is located on human chromosome 12, which harbors over 1,100 genes and constitutes approximately 4.5% of the human genome. SSH1 is expressed in multiple alternatively spliced isoforms and undergoes post-translational modifications, including phosphorylation at specific residues like Ser 978, which can influence activity and interactions with other proteins.
