SEE ALSO...

SSEA-3 Antibody (631) is a rat monoclonal IgM antibody that detects SSEA-3 in mouse, rat, and human samples by immunofluorescence (IF) and flow cytometry (FCM). Anti-SSEA-3 antibody (631) is available in non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. SSEA-3 plays a crucial role in identifying and characterizing pluripotent stem cells, serving as a key marker for undifferentiated embryonic stem cells and embryonal carcinoma cells. SSEA-3 is primarily located on the cell surface, where SSEA-3 contributes to maintaining the undifferentiated state of stem cells, allowing proliferation while retaining differentiation potential into various cell types. SSEA-3 expression is essential for isolating and studying stem cells by distinguishing undifferentiated from differentiated cells, supporting research in developmental biology and regenerative medicine. SSEA-3 also participates in cell-cell interactions and signaling pathways vital for stem cell maintenance and differentiation, making SSEA-3 an important target for understanding stem cell biology and potential therapeutic applications.
