SSBP2 Antibody (D-3) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects SSBP2 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). SSBP2 (D-3) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. SSBP2, also known as single-stranded DNA binding protein 2 or SSDP2, is a crucial 361 amino acid protein that plays a significant role in DNA metabolism by binding to single-stranded DNA, thereby protecting DNA from degradation and facilitating proper DNA replication and repair processes. SSBP2 is predominantly localized in the nucleus, where SSBP2′s presence is vital for maintaining genomic stability and regulating cell cycle progression. SSBP2 is expressed in various tissues, and SSBP2′s function as a potential tumor suppressor is underscored by SSBP2′s ability to induce growth arrest in cancer cells, making SSBP2 an important target for cancer research. The gene encoding SSBP2 is located on human chromosome 5, a region associated with several genetic disorders, including Cockayne syndrome and familial adenomatous polyposis, highlighting SSBP2′s clinical relevance in understanding disease mechanisms.
