    SEE ALSO...

SSB-2 Antibody (32-K) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects SSB-2 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-SSB-2 antibody (32-K) is available as the non-conjugated format. SSB-2, also known as SplA/ryanodine (SPRY) receptor domain-containing SOCS box protein 2, plays a crucial role in cellular signaling pathways by interacting with various proteins, including Met, a receptor for hepatocyte growth factors. This interaction enhances hepatocyte growth factor signaling, which drives cell proliferation, survival, and migration. SSB-2 regulates protein degradation through its SOCS box, which mediates the association of SOCS proteins with the Elongin B and C complex. The SPRY domain in SSB-2 functions as a protein-protein interaction motif, emphasizing SSB-2′s importance in cellular communication and signaling networks. Mutations in genes encoding SPSB proteins, including SSB-2, have been linked to various human diseases, highlighting SSB-2′s relevance in health and disease.

Can sc-100863: SSB-2 (32-K) monoclonal antibody be used to stain formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) tissue sections?

    Asked by: Cweed
Thank you for your question. Yes, sc-100863: SSB-2 (32-K) is recommended for use in IHC with paraffin-embedded sections. We recommend performing antigen retrieval with sodium citrate buffer (pH 6) and heat. The full protocol can be found here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/immunoperoxidase-staining
