SRp20 Antibody (G-8) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects SRp20 in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). SRp20 (G-8) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. SRp20 plays a crucial role in pre-mRNA splicing, particularly in the regulation of alternative splicing, which is essential for generating diverse protein isoforms from a single gene. SRp20 is primarily located in the nucleus, where SRp20 binds to splicing enhancer elements that activate weak splice sites, thereby facilitating accurate splice site recognition. SRp20′s ability to shuttle between the nucleus and cytoplasm is vital for mRNA transport, ensuring that spliced mRNA is efficiently delivered to the cytoplasm for translation.
