Sprouty 1 Antibody (H-2) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Sprouty 1 of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-Sprouty 1 antibody (H-2) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Sprouty 1 plays a crucial role as a negative regulator of growth factor signaling, particularly in receptor tyrosine kinases, which are essential for cellular proliferation, differentiation, and migration. This regulation maintains normal cellular functions and prevents uncontrolled cell growth, which can lead to cancer. Sprouty 1, along with family members, features a well-conserved cysteine-rich C-terminal domain for protein interactions and cellular structures. Sprouty 1 undergoes palmitoylation, enabling membrane anchoring and association with caveolin-1 in perinuclear and vesicular structures. Upon stimulation, Sprouty 1 moves to the leading edge of the plasma membrane to inhibit signaling pathways activated by fibroblast growth factor and vascular endothelial growth factor. This inhibition regulates angiogenesis and ensures proper embryonic development, particularly in lung morphogenesis.
