SPIN90 Antibody (B-3) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects SPIN90 in human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). SPIN90 is a 722 amino acid protein encoded by the human gene SPIN90, characterized by nuclear localization and the presence of an SH3 domain, a proline-rich domain, and a bipartite nuclear localization signal. The SH3 domain of SPIN90 exhibits high homology with that of FYN, underscoring potential role in cellular signaling pathways. SPIN90 is crucial for regulating actin polymerization and cell adhesion, vital processes for maintaining cellular structure and function. SPIN90 facilitates myofibril assembly into sarcomeres, playing a significant role in muscle contraction and cellular integrity. SPIN90 is implicated in stress fiber formation induced by active diaphanous protein homolog 1 (DRF1) and can induce microspike formation in vivo, highlighting importance in cytoskeletal dynamics. A chromosomal aberration involving SPIN90 has been identified in therapy-related leukemia, specifically a translocation at t(3;11)(p21;q23) with the mixed lineage leukemia (MLL) gene, which is frequently rearranged in various forms of leukemia. This aberration leads to an MLL-AF3p21 fusion transcript in leukemic cells, emphasizing SPIN90′s relevance in both normal cellular functions and pathological conditions.
