    SEE ALSO...

Spi-C Antibody (C-2) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Spi-C protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-Spi-C antibody (C-2) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Spi-C, a member of the Ets transcription factor family, plays a crucial role in regulating gene expression, particularly in lymphoid development and function. Spi-C features a unique winged helix-turn-helix motif, known as the Ets domain, which binds to specific DNA sequences, influencing transcriptional activity. Spi-C (C-2) monoclonal antibody enables research into red pulp macrophage development, which maintains iron homeostasis and facilitates red blood cell recycling. Human Spi-C consists of 248 amino acids, localizes in the nucleus, and operates as a monomer to bind DNA. Spi-C shares 65% amino acid identity with its mouse counterpart, suggesting a conserved functional role across species. Spi-C (C-2) antibody serves as an invaluable tool for researchers studying transcriptional regulation and macrophage biology.

Hi, Has this antibody been tested for cross-reactivity with PU.1 and Spi-B? Thanks.

    Asked by: JAH1
Thank you for your question. This antibody is specific for Spi-C, and based on the epitope information it should not be able to detect PU.1 or Spi-B.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-514526 P appropriate for?

    Asked by: Cweed
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
