Sox-10 Antibody (A-2) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Sox-10 in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Sox-10 Antibody (A-2) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Sox-10 plays a crucial role in glial cell development and is essential for proper myelin formation in the nervous system, which enables efficient nerve signal transmission. Mutations in Sox-10 can lead to severe developmental disorders, including Waardenburg syndrome and other neurocristopathies, highlighting Sox-10′s importance in both normal physiology and disease. The Sox gene family, including Sox-10, is characterized by the HMG-box domain, which facilitates sequence-specific DNA binding, thereby influencing gene expression and cell fate decisions during embryonic development. With at least 30 identified Sox genes, this family is known for evolutionary conservation and significant roles in various developmental processes, making anti-Sox-10 antibody (A-2) an invaluable tool for researchers studying developmental biology and related pathologies.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from SOX10 790 abPurchased SOX10 790 for a flow panel. Antibody gives inconsistent results. Purchased from another company with success. I suspect there are issues with this antibody binding to native protein. Did not try on western blot.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from No real staining in tissue, nor in culturesI bought this Ab at the end of the last year. The polyclonal discontinued one (A20) was successfully used for staining in mouse enteric nervous system using PFA fixed whole mounts of intestine or colon and in enteric neuronal/glial cultures - as reported throughout literature. However, in my hands, I have not got a single stained cell in tissue and only autofluorescent cells are positive in culture. I have not tried in brain tissue, it might be that this improved one is not working for enteric nervous system.
