Sox-10 Antibody (A-2) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Sox-10 in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Sox-10 Antibody (A-2) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Sox-10 plays a crucial role in glial cell development and is essential for proper myelin formation in the nervous system, which enables efficient nerve signal transmission. Mutations in Sox-10 can lead to severe developmental disorders, including Waardenburg syndrome and other neurocristopathies, highlighting Sox-10′s importance in both normal physiology and disease. The Sox gene family, including Sox-10, is characterized by the HMG-box domain, which facilitates sequence-specific DNA binding, thereby influencing gene expression and cell fate decisions during embryonic development.
