SNX20 Antibody (D-10) is a mouse monoclonal IgM antibody that detects SNX20 in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). SNX20, also known as SLIC1 (selectin ligand-interactor cytoplasmic 1), is a crucial sorting protein composed of 316 amino acids that plays a significant role in the internalization and recycling of PSGL-1 (P-selectin glycoprotein ligand 1) into endosomes. The localization of SNX20 to various cellular compartments, including the nucleus, cytoplasm, cell membrane, and endosomes, underscores SNX20′s importance in cellular membrane trafficking and protein sorting. The presence of a PX (phox homology) domain in SNX20 facilitates SNX20′s interaction with specific phospholipids, which is essential for its function in endosomal sorting and pro-degradative pathways. Additionally, SNX20 exists in four alternatively spliced isoforms, allowing for functional diversity within the sorting nexin family, which is vital for maintaining cellular homeostasis and responding to various physiological signals.
