SNX17 Antibody (H-10) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects SNX17 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). SNX17 (H-10) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. SNX17 protein plays a crucial role in intracellular trafficking and is essential for maintaining proper levels of lipoprotein receptor-related protein (LRP) on the cell surface by facilitating recycling. SNX17 is characterized by the presence of a phox homology (PX) domain, which is vital for interaction with phosphatidylinositol-3-phosphate, allowing SNX17 to associate with membranes. SNX17 contains a FERM domain that enhances binding affinity to LRP, ensuring effective regulation of receptor levels. Research has shown that SNX17 is predominantly localized to the limiting membrane and recycling tubules of early endosomes, highlighting importance in the endocytic pathway and cellular sorting mechanisms. SNX17 gene is located on chromosome 2, and ubiquitous expression underscores fundamental role in cellular processes across various tissues.

En un WB usando BMDC se me revelan dos línas de SNX17, una de 55 K y otra banda menos marcada de unos 60 K. Además, trabajo con dos líneas de SNX17 KD y también observo estas dos líneas, ambas se atenúan con el silenciamiento. ¿A qué puede deberse?Thanks

Gracias por su pregunta. Hemos probado nuestros anticuerpos SNX17 en una variedad de diferentes líneas celulares y no hemos observado un patrón de bandas similar en Western blot. Recomendamos probar las mismas muestras usando un anticuerpo SNX17 diferente con un epítopo distinto para ver si observa el mismo resultado. Actualmente ofrecemos otros dos anticuerpos monoclonales de ratón a SNX17, sc-166597: SNX17 (E-12), que tiene un epítopo C-terminal, y sc-166585: SNX17 (D-10), que tiene un epítopo N-terminal. También recomendamos consultar la literatura primaria para ver si otros investigadores han observado un resultado similar con el antígeno SNX17. Thank you for your question. We have tested our SNX17 antibodies in a variety of different cell lines and have not observed a similar banding pattern in Western blot. We would recommend testing the same samples using a different SNX17 antibody with a distinct epitope to see if you observe the same result. We currently offer two other mouse monoclonal antibodies to SNX17, sc-166597: SNX17 (E-12), which has a C-terminal epitope, and sc-166585: SNX17 (D-10), which has an N-terminal epitope. We also recommend consulting the primary literature to see if any other researchers have observed a similar result with the SNX17 antigen.
