SNAP 25 Antibody (20) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects SNAP 25 in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and immunofluorescence (IF). SNAP 25 is a crucial component of the SNARE (soluble N-ethylmaleimide-sensitive factor attachment protein receptor) complex, which plays a vital role in neurotransmitter release at synapses. SNAP 25 is primarily located in the presynaptic membrane of neurons, where SNAP 25 facilitates the fusion of synaptic vesicles with the plasma membrane, allowing for efficient release of neurotransmitters into the synaptic cleft. Proper functioning of SNAP 25 is essential for synaptic transmission and communication between neurons, making SNAP 25 a key player in various neurological processes. Dysregulation of SNAP 25 has been implicated in several neurological disorders, including schizophrenia and autism spectrum disorders, highlighting SNAP 25′s importance in maintaining synaptic health and function. Anti-SNAP 25 antibody (20) provides a reliable tool for researchers studying synaptic mechanisms and the molecular underpinnings of neurodegenerative diseases.

I am using SNAP 25 (20): sc-136267 for immunofluorescence, what dilution of this antibody should I use?

Asked by: cjMara
Thank you for your question. We recommend a starting dilution of 1:50. However, optimal antibody concentration should be determined by titration. Please find our full immunofluorescence protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/immunofluorescence-cell-staining
