SEE ALSO...

SMRTe Antibody (1542/H7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects SMRTe protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and immunohistochemistry with paraffin embedded sections (IHCP). SMRTe monoclonal antibody (1542/H7) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase, phycoerythrin, fluorescein isothiocyanate, and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. SMRTe, also known as Nuclear Receptor Corepressor 2, plays a crucial role in the regulation of gene expression by acting as a transcriptional repressor. SMRTe functions in retinoic acid signaling through interactions with retinoic acid receptors (RARs) and thyroid hormone receptors to modulate their activity. SMRTe contains a unique N-terminal sequence spanning over 1,000 amino acids, not present in SMRT. This structural difference suggests distinct regulatory functions in various signaling pathways, particularly during cell cycle progression. SMRTe expression undergoes tight regulation, indicating involvement in cycle-specific gene expression, essential for proper cellular function and development. Research on SMRTe and associated protein interactions provides valuable insights into transcriptional regulation mechanisms and retinoid effects on cellular processes.
