    SEE ALSO...

SMOC-1 Antibody (A-10) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects SMOC-1 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). SMOC-1 (A-10) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. SMOC-1, also known as SPARC-related modular calcium-binding protein-1, plays a crucial role in the extracellular matrix, particularly in the basement membrane, where SMOC-1 is involved in tissue remodeling, angiogenesis, and bone mineralization. Notably, SMOC-1 contains two EF-hand domains, a Kazal-like domain, and two thyroglobulin type-1 domains, which contribute to structural integrity and functional versatility. SMOC-1 presence in the basement membrane zones of various organs during embryonic development, including brain, blood vessels, skin, skeletal muscle, lung, heart, liver, pancreas, ovary, intestine, and kidney, underscores SMOC-1′s importance in organogenesis and suggests multiple functional roles throughout development. SMOC-1′s ability to interact with specific proteins in the extracellular matrix further highlights SMOC-1′s significance in cellular signaling and tissue homeostasis, making anti-SMOC-1 antibody (A-10) an essential tool for researchers studying developmental biology and related fields.
