SEE ALSO...

SMARCD2 Antibody (F-34) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects SMARCD2 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-SMARCD2 antibody (F-34) is available as the non-conjugated format. SMARCD2, also known as SWI/SNF related, matrix associated, Actin dependent regulator of chromatin, subfamily D, member 2, Rsc6p, PRO2451, or BAF60B, is a crucial component of the ATP-dependent chromatin remodeling complex SWI/SNF, which plays a significant role in gene expression regulation. SMARCD2 is primarily localized in the nucleus, where SMARCD2 participates in nucleosome remodeling, a process essential for transcription activation. The SWI/SNF complex, which includes SMARCD2, utilizes ATP to alter nucleosome structure, facilitating DNA access for transcription factors and other regulatory proteins. SMARCD2 serves as a vital component for proper gene regulation and cellular function. SMARCD2 is a homolog of yeast protein Swp73, necessary for transcriptional activation in Saccharomyces cerevisiae. Alternative splicing of SMARCD2 gene results in two isoforms, highlighting SMARCD2′s complexity and regulatory potential in various biological processes.
