SLX4IP Antibody (G-4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects SLX4IP protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-SLX4IP antibody (G-4) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. SLX4IP protein, also known as C20orf94, is a 408 amino acid protein that plays a crucial role in DNA repair and maintenance of genomic stability, making SLX4IP vital for preventing mutations that can lead to cancer. A monoallelic deletion of the 5′ region of SLX4IP has been identified in a subset of patients with acute lymphoblastic leukemia, a condition that exhibits a higher incidence in males, particularly due to deletions affecting SLX4IP and TAL1. SLX4IP gene is located on chromosome 20p12 in humans and is conserved across several species, including chimpanzees, Rhesus monkeys, dogs, mice, rats, chickens, and frogs. Chromosome 20, which represents about 2% of human DNA, contains approximately 63 million bases and 600 genes, including regions that are important for male reproductive health and potential targets for male contraception.
