SEE ALSO...

Slit2 Antibody (F-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgM antibody that detects Slit2 of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-Slit2 antibody (F-7) is available as the non-conjugated form. Slit2 plays a crucial role in the development of the nervous system, particularly in axonal guidance, by serving as a signaling ligand for the Roundabout (Robo) receptor, which is essential for directing the growth of neuronal axons. Slit2 is predominantly expressed in the midline of the central nervous system during embryonic development, where Slit2 regulates the movement of mesodermal cells during gastrulation, a critical phase in early development. The interaction between Slit2 and Robo receptors is vital for establishing proper neural pathways, and disruptions in this signaling can lead to developmental disorders and neurodegenerative diseases. Anti-Slit2 antibody (F-7) enables researchers to gain insights into the mechanisms of neural development and the potential implications of Slit2 in pathologies associated with aberrant axonal guidance.

Does the Slit2 Antibody Slit2 Antikörper (F-7): sc-514499 work in IHC with FFPE tissue? Or is there any other SantaCruz antibody for this purpose?

Asked by: Helmut Klocker
Thank you for your question. We recommend using this mouse monoclonal antibody, Slit2 (F-7): sc-514499, for IF, or immunofluorescence staining on fresh frozen tissues or cells fixed in acetone or methanol. The antibody is not recommended for IHC(P) on formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded tissue sections as it has not been tested for that application. It may work, but it has not been tested. We recommend using a starting dilution of 1:50 (range of 1:50-1:500) for IF or IHC. If you would like to try a sample of this product, please contact our European Technical Service team. What application is the blocking peptide sc-514499 P appropriate for?

Asked by: cjMara
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization

Rated 1 out of 5 by from This Slit2 antibody is not great for IF or WBI was sent this antibody for trying in IF and WB. We have tested and found that it did not pick up Slit2 in the mouse kidney tissue at the dilution of 1:100. Western blot assay did not find bends of human Slit2 stably expressed in HEK293 cells.
