Datasheets
  • SLC25A46 Antibody (H-5) is a mouse monoclonal IgA κ SLC25A46 antibody provided at 200 µg/ml
  • specific for an epitope mapping between amino acids 1-18 at the N-terminus of SLC25A46 of human origin
  • recommended for detection of SLC25A46 of mouse, rat and human origin by WB, IP, IF and ELISA
  • m-IgGκ BP-HRP is the preferred secondary detection reagent for SLC25A46 Antibody (H-5) for WB applications. This reagent is now offered in a bundle with SLC25A46 Antibody (H-5) (see ordering information below). For additional m-IgGκ BP conjugates see our complete list of Mouse IgG Binding Proteins.

    SEE ALSO...

SLC25A46 Antibody (H-5) is a mouse monoclonal IgA kappa light chain antibody that detects SLC25A46 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-SLC25A46 antibody (H-5) is available as a non-conjugated antibody. SLC25A46 protein, also known as solute carrier family 25 member 46, is a crucial 418 amino acid multi-pass membrane protein that plays a significant role in mitochondrial function by facilitating metabolite transport across the inner mitochondrial membrane. This transport maintains cellular energy metabolism and overall mitochondrial health, ensuring proper exchange of substrates necessary for ATP production and other metabolic processes. SLC25A46 is expressed in various tissues and contains two Solcar repeats, localizing specifically to the inner mitochondrial membrane. The human gene encoding SLC25A46 is located on chromosome 5, which is associated with several genetic disorders, including Cockayne syndrome and familial adenomatous polyposis. Understanding SLC25A46 function and interactions within the mitochondrial environment is essential for elucidating its role in cellular metabolism and potential implications in mitochondrial diseases.

How much sample do you recommend loading on the gel for Western blot detection using SLC25A46 (H-5): sc-515810?

    Asked by: Professor Griffin
We recommend loading 40–60 µg whole cell lysate, 10–20 µg nuclear extract, 5-10 µg transfected lysate, or 10–20 ng purified protein per lane.
