Slac2-a Antibody (C-3) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects Slac2-a of mouse origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Slac2-a (C-3) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Slac2-a, also known as synaptotagmin-like protein (Slp) homolog lacking C2 domains-a, plays a crucial role in linking Rab27A on melanosomes with Myosin VA in melanocytes, facilitating the transport of pigment and cytotoxic granules. This interaction is vital for proper cellular function, as the stable formation of the Slac2-a, Rab27A, and Myosin VA complex is essential for the movement of these granules within the cell. Disruptions or mutations in the binding domains of these proteins can lead to significant consequences, including albinism and severe immune disorders, highlighting the importance of Slac2-a in maintaining cellular integrity and function.

We recommend using one of our our exclusive Mouse IgG Binding Proteins (m-IgGλ) conjugated to CFL 680 or CFL 790. They are suitable for use with Near-Infrared (NIR) detection systems, such as LI-COR/Odyssey and other comparable systems.
