SEE ALSO...

SIRP-γ Antibody (LSB2.20) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects SIRP-γ of human origin by flow cytometry (FCM). Anti-SIRP-γ antibody (LSB2.20) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. SIRP-γ, also known as SIRP-β2 or CD172g, is a member of the signal-regulatory protein family, which plays a crucial role in modulating immune responses. SIRP-γ is predominantly expressed on T cells and a subset of B cells, where SIRP-γ functions as a negative regulator of immune signaling. CD47 interaction with SIRP-γ transmits inhibitory signals that prevent excessive immune activation, maintaining immune homeostasis. SIRP-γ′s unique structure includes an extracellular domain with immunoglobulin-like motifs, allowing for specific binding interactions essential for immune regulation. SIRP-γ′s role in immune responses has significant implications for various diseases, including cancer and autoimmune disorders, where immune activity modulation is critical.

Can SIRP-γ (LSB2.20): sc-53604 monoclonal antibody be used in IF or IHC with mouse tissue or cells? Will there be non-specific staining?

Asked by: Professor Griffin
Thank you for your inquiry. The use of mouse monoclonal antibodies with mouse samples is very common and typically poses no problem. To eliminate any potential cross-reactivity of an anti-mouse secondary detection reagent, SIRP-γ (LSB2.20): sc-53604 is available in a variety of direct conjugations, such as HRP, PE, FITC and AlexaFluors.
