Shh Antibody (E-1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Shh protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-Shh antibody (E-1) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Sonic hedgehog (Shh) protein plays a crucial role in embryonic development and tissue patterning, particularly in the central nervous system and limb formation. Shh functions as a signaling molecule that mediates cell-cell interactions, influencing growth and differentiation of neighboring cells. Shh is processed into an amino-terminal peptide that remains associated with the cell surface and a carboxy-terminal glycosylated peptide that is more diffusible, allowing for longer-distance signaling. This dual processing establishes essential signaling gradients vital for proper developmental processes. Shh interaction with specific receptors, such as Patched and Smoothened, further underscores Shh importance in developmental biology and implications in various diseases, including cancer.

Hey, Can we use sc-365112 for IF and WB to detect SHH in rat hippocampus (using either brain slices or brain tissue)? If yes, are there any published papers on this using this antibody? Thanks!

Hi, I would like to perform RNA-binding protein immunoprecipitation experiment and am looking for anti-SHH (human). Will Shh Antibody (E-1): sc-365112 be suitable for this experiment? Thank you!

I would like to use it in intervertebral tissue of adult zebrafish, is it possible?

Thank you for your question. This antibody is recommended for detection of Ihh and Shh in mouse samples by Western blotting. We do not have any data or references specifically in skin tissue.
