Shh Antibody (E-1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Shh protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-Shh antibody (E-1) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Sonic hedgehog (Shh) protein plays a crucial role in embryonic development and tissue patterning, particularly in the central nervous system and limb formation. Shh functions as a signaling molecule that mediates cell-cell interactions, influencing growth and differentiation of neighboring cells. Shh is processed into an amino-terminal peptide that remains associated with the cell surface and a carboxy-terminal glycosylated peptide that is more diffusible, allowing for longer-distance signaling.
