SFRS14 Antibody (S-24) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects SFRS14 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-SFRS14 antibody (S-24) is available as a non-conjugated format. SFRS14, also known as splicing factor, arginine/serine-rich 14, is a 1,082 amino acid protein that plays a crucial role in regulating pre-mRNA splicing, a fundamental process in gene expression. SFRS14 features a unique structure, including an arginine/serine-rich region at the N-terminus, two SURP motif repeats, and a C-terminal G-patch domain. The SURP motif is commonly associated with splicing proteins, while the G-patch domain indicates RNA-binding proteins in eukaryotes, highlighting SFRS14′s involvement in RNA processing. SFRS14 shows predominant expression in fetal brain, fetal kidney, and adult testis, and localizes to the nucleus where SFRS14 facilitates pre-mRNA splicing. SFRS14 contains several potential phosphorylation sites, suggesting function modulation through post-translational modifications that influence activity and protein interactions. Three isoforms of SFRS14 exist due to alternative splicing events, further underscoring the complexity and regulatory potential in cellular processes.
