SF-1 Antibody (G-12) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects steroidogenic factor-1 (SF-1) in human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). SF-1 plays a crucial role in regulating multiple genes essential for adrenal and gonadal development, as well as the biosynthesis of various hormones, including adrenal and gonadal steroids, anti-Mullerian hormone (AMH), and gonadotropins. SF-1 is primarily located in the nucleus of theca/interstitial cells in the adult ovary, where SF-1 functions as a transcription factor to modulate gene expression. Nuclear localization of SF-1 is vital because SF-1 interacts directly with DNA and influences the transcription of target genes, thereby impacting hormone production and reproductive health. Anti-SF-1 antibody (G-12) is an invaluable tool for researchers studying endocrine function and disorders, providing insights into the molecular mechanisms underlying hormone regulation and reproductive biology.
