    SEE ALSO...

SerpinB6 Antibody (F-5) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects SerpinB6 in mouse and rat samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-SerpinB6 antibody (F-5) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. SerpinB6, also known as protease inhibitor 6 (PI-6) in humans and Spi3 in mice, plays a crucial role as a serine protease inhibitor, exhibiting both antitrypsin and antichymotrypsin activities. SerpinB6 is primarily located in the cytoplasm, allowing effective regulation of intracellular proteolytic processes, distinguishing SerpinB6 from many other serpins that are secreted and function extracellularly. Cytoplasmic presence enables SerpinB6 interactions with various proteases, including arginine-selective protease human kallikrein 2 (hK2) and azurophilic granule protease cathepsin G found in monocytes and granulocytes. SerpinB6 forms stable complexes with these proteases, highlighting SerpinB6′s importance in modulating inflammatory responses and maintaining cellular homeostasis. In mice, the SerpinB6 gene family consists of three distinct genes: SerpinB6a, SerpinB6b, and SerpinB6c, each contributing to diverse regulatory functions in various tissues, including capillary endothelial cells, platelets, and epithelial cells.
