    SEE ALSO...

SENP5 Antibody (3C2) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects SENP5 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). SENP5 (3C2) antibody is available as a non-conjugated format. SENP5, a member of the sentrin-specific protease family, plays a crucial role in regulating SUMO (small ubiquitin-related modifier) pathways, which are essential for various cellular processes, including transcription, DNA repair, and cell cycle regulation. SENP5 is localized in the nucleolus, where SENP5 preferentially processes SUMO-3, a modification vital for proper functioning of numerous target proteins during mitosis and cytokinesis. SENP5′s ability to modulate SUMOylation influences stability and activity of key regulatory proteins, thereby impacting cellular responses to stress and developmental cues. SENP5′s interactions with other proteins, such as HIPK2, highlight SENP5′s importance in cellular signaling pathways, making SENP5 a valuable target for research in cancer and developmental biology. With robust performance in multiple applications, anti-SENP5 antibody (3C2) serves as an essential tool for researchers investigating SUMOylation′s intricate roles in human health and disease.

Can sc-293373: SENP5 (3C2) monoclonal antibody be used to stain formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) tissue sections?

    Asked by: Professor Griffin
Thank you for your question. Yes, sc-293373: SENP5 (3C2) is recommended for use in IHC with paraffin-embedded sections. We recommend performing antigen retrieval with sodium citrate buffer (pH 6) and heat. The full protocol can be found here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/immunoperoxidase-staining
